Classic Cheese Smashburgers
Yield: 2 - 4 Burgers
Who doesn't love just a classic American cheese burger, and smashed at that. I have been watching a lot of George Motz and his restaurant Hamburger America in NYC. So I took inspiration from that to craft this. A simple burger, with melty American cheese, and a shit load of onions. I made my own burger sauce which I included here but its really not a necessity.
Ingredients
- 1lb of Ground Beef
- 1 Egg
- 1/2 Cup Panko Breadcrumbs
- 1 Yellow Onion very thinly sliced, shaved almost
- Meat Church Holy Gospel Seasoning
- Meat Church Holy Cow Seasoning
- Brioche Bun
- Salted Butter
- Deluxe American Chese
Burger Sauce
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp kewpie mayo
- 1/4 tsp garlic
- 1/4 tsp relish
- 1/2 tsp bbq sauce
- 1/4 mustard
- Dash of smoked paprika
- Dash of black pepper
- 1/4 tsp Worcestershire
- Pinch of sugar
- Optional 1/4 tsp of horseradish cream
Instructions
- In a bowl combine ground beef, egg, panko breadcrumbs, and Holy Gospel seasoning. Mix well.
- Form 8 2oz balls with the meat mixture
