Who doesn't love just a classic American cheese burger, and smashed at that. I have been watching a lot of George Motz and his restaurant Hamburger America in NYC. So I took inspiration from that to craft this. A simple burger, with melty American cheese, and a shit load of onions. I made my own burger sauce which I included here but its really not a necessity.

Ingredients

  • 1lb of Ground Beef
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/2 Cup Panko Breadcrumbs
  • 1 Yellow Onion very thinly sliced, shaved almost
  • Meat Church Holy Gospel Seasoning
  • Meat Church Holy Cow Seasoning
  • Brioche Bun
  • Salted Butter
  • Deluxe American Chese
Burger Sauce
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp kewpie mayo
  • 1/4 tsp garlic
  • 1/4 tsp relish
  • 1/2 tsp bbq sauce
  • 1/4 mustard
  • Dash of smoked paprika
  • Dash of black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Worcestershire
  • Pinch of sugar

  1. In a bowl combine ground beef, egg, panko breadcrumbs, and Holy Gospel seasoning. Mix well.
  2. Form 8 2oz balls with the meat mixture
